Vijay is the co-founder and the executive chairman of the QI group of companies. Founded in 1998, the QI group is an e-commerce based business. It is further diversified into various fields such as retail and direct sales, telecommunications, lifestyle and leisure, luxury, education, training and conference management, property development, and logistics.
Vijay completed his higher education in top universities in the UK and the USA. He has an impressive record of working for top companies including IBM in different places such as Australia, Us, Europe and Canada.
In 1998, he led like- minded individuals into founding the 18-year-old QI group with regional offices located in places such as Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.
Besides being a major player in the multi-level marketing industry, Vijay and the QI group have also had multiple accomplishments in the past.
Vijay Eswaran has a passion for philanthropy which he demonstrated through establishing the RHYTHM (Raise Yourself to Help Mankind) Foundation, the corporate social responsibility (CSR) of the QI Group. He then founded Vijayaratnam Foundation (VF), the Malaysian chapter of QI group.
The Vijayaratnam Foundation led to the application of some projects through its work with the public and private sectors and the philanthropic community. Mainly, it focuses on causes in four areas – education where it provides opportunities to people seeking education by giving study loans.
It also engages in community development where necessary resources are provided to needy communities to achieve sustainable development. Arts & culture is also another area where it supports programs to enhance appreciation of art among Malaysians.
Vijay has plans to make the QI University in Malaysia to improve the quality standard of higher education in the south East Asia. Additionally, he is committed the QI group towards QI Edu city.
The city is a residential and commercial development that will include various facilities such as the hospital, shopping mall, sophisticated apartments, convention center and hotel suites.
The university will also set up incubators that will allow students to meet and interact with companies while giving these start-ups students a system that can support them towards entrepreneurship.
